127. But you can't be close enough
Unless I'm feeling your heart beat
-All Of Your Love, HellogoodbyeJessica put on the most comfortable clothes she could find and slipped onto the couch to wait for Sam to get home from studying at the library. She hadn't seen him in what seemed like days and she was missing him. She was hooked on him like no tomorrow. Of course they had been going out almost a year to the day. She absently played with her hair and stared at the wall and then when she heard the front door open she nearly jumped off the couch. Then she heard a thud of the backpack and a tired groan from the tall shadow leaning in the doorway.
"Sam? Are you okay?" She slipped from the couch and made her way over to him, tilting her head to the side.
Sam looked at her and gave a tired lopsided smile at her and pushed his hair from his face. "Yeah, just a little tired Jess." He kissed the top of her forehead and then moved past her towards the kitchen. He was pleasantly surprised to find the little toaster oven in there with a plate of food covered in foil.
"I didn't know when you'd be home, since I know you have exams so I put your plate in there to keep it warm for you." She gave a smile and then slipped the plate in front of him and then sat down beside him.
"Thanks Jess." He smiled and immediately dove into the food, that was one of the things about Jess he loved. That she could cook. And it was one of the many things that he loved about her. It was hard to pinpoint just one thing about her that drove him wild.
Once he was done she took the plate, washed it, and then smiled when Sam's arms came to wrap around her from behind and he kissed her cheek. "Have I told you that I love you today?"
She smiled and then laughed. "No, I don't believe you've made your quota of sixty times today yet Sam Winchester."
He laughed and then turned her around and pressed slightly up against her. "I love you Jessica Lee Moore." He pressed a kiss to her lips and then picked her up and grinned, carrying her to their room and laying her down on the bed. She could only smile and lean up to kiss him. They made love that night, entwining their bodies with each other when all was said and done, with her head pressed against his chest and listening to his heartbeat. This was the only time she ever truly felt close to Sam Winchester, is when she could feel his heartbeat right in her ear.
